e: julie@connexusinstitute.com

After a varied career that included roles in administration, education, and supporting adults with learning disabilities, alongside raising a family, Julie began her TA Psychotherapy training in 2010. Since then, she has worked with Macmillan Cancer Services in an NHS hospital and is now in advanced training, working towards her final psychotherapy qualification.

As well as Connexus Institute, Julie works at a private counselling practice in Eastbourne, providing personalised therapeutic support to clients. She brings this breadth of experience, together with her strong background in customer service and office-based roles, to her position at Connexus Institute.

As Student Support and Facilities Co-ordinator, Julie supports students looking for placements, manages the placement paperwork, and keeps communication flowing between students, placement providers and supervisors. She also oversees the day-to-day running of the Connexus Library, maintaining the catalogue, making sure requested materials are available, answering students’ queries and running library orientations so that resources stay organised and easy to find. She helps keep the Connexus premises running smoothly too, making sure essential supplies and consumables remain well stocked, and acts as a key holder, arranging maintenance and providing access for works as needed.

Julie’s preference for one-to-one interactions allows her to offer thoughtful, personalised support to students as they progress in their professional development. Her commitment is grounded in her long-standing belief in the gold standard of training that Connexus represents.
